Minimony and Elopement:
Elopements typically involve just the couple and an officiant. It is often spontaneous, usually with few guests and minimal planning.
A minimony is essentially a mini wedding ceremony—but larger than an elopement. Guest lists generally fall into 11-20 people. Oftentimes, accompanied by cocktail hour.
The biggest difference between a minimony and an elopement is that an elopement doesn’t have food or drinks served , is usually planned, and can accommodate more guests.
